Work experience

CURRENT LIFESTYLE MARKETING; Public Relations Intern
January 2016 – Present

As an intern at Current, I have been responsible for event outreach, assisting in pitches, managing and developing a system to monitor our inventory, and more. My event outreach for Snuggle's Valentine's Day campaign led to 500,000,000 media impressions.

NEW YORK GIANTS/NEW YORK JETS; Public Relations and Game Day Operations Intern
July 2013 – Present

I served as a liaison between the media and the New York Giants, including the players and coaches. I recorded and transcribed interviews, and retrieved and accompanied players to interviews with national and local media outlets. I also assisted in the composition of press releases for games and drafted bios for coaches for the 2013-2014 season. I've recently started working with the New York Jets assisting in their game day operations, including recording and transcribing interviews, delivering statistics, and managing inventory.

ALDO SHOES, PARAMUS PARK MALL; Sales Lead/Assistant Manager
November 2014 – January 2016

At Aldo, I was responsible for training and development of new sales team members and managers, promoting sales growth, and increasing customer retention. I developed and maintained customer relationships which led to an increase in sales volume, earning our store a ranking of #2 in the district. I also served as the interim store manager for approximately 3 months and reported directly to our district manager.

NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION; Public Relations Intern

September 2014 - May 2015

While on campus, I worked as an assistant to the Athletic Directors at Howard University and The University of Maryland, College Park, in the Sports Information Department. I covered major events such as Homecoming games and the NCAA March Madness tournament games. My responsibilites included developing quotes for articles, social media management, and recording stats.

RAPP HEADQUARTERS; Marketing Assistant

June 2014 - August 2014

As a Marketing Assistant at RAPP, I worked closely with the Chief Marketing Officer on the advancement of the agency. I compiled competitive audits, researched new business initiatives and helped plan events to push brand awareness. I also wrote weekly articles for a newsletter for the agency's senior leadership and developed content for the agency's website.

AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION; Events Coordinator

August 2014 - May 2015

I coordinated and executed details of all major events thrown by the association. Among these events were cocktail hours, panel discussions, and a trip to New York City. The goal of each event was to increase student awareness and exposure to the many opportunities in the field of marketing. These events also served as networking opportunities, featuring companies such as Pepsico, Nielsen, IBM, and much more.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE; Super Bowl XLVIII Media Assistant

February 2014

I was responsible to gather and dispense quarterly statistics and updates in a timely fashion. I also assisted in the completion of mass media production through the transmission of important statements and developed a system of effective and efficient delivery to accommodate urgency of data.

ALPHA KAPPA PSI PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS FRATERNITY; Director of Brand Management and Professional Development

March 2013 - May 2015

I was responsible for the development and execution of events and campaigns that promoted the organizations visibility and character. “SPRINGFEST” FASHION SHOW; Show Coordinator/Wardrobe Stylist

February 2012 - April 2013

I was responsible for establishing the central theme and framework for the event. I negotiated with artists and designers to keep our costs within the events budget and also acquired sponsors to provide funding. I oversaw, directed and motivated a team of about 100 people, including models, assistants and set builders, to ensure the success of the show. I also put together a promotion team to generate a buzz about the show.
